The RF laser cutting machine is a high-precision processing equipment that generates laser through radio frequency excitation. Its core advantages are centered around four key aspects: processing accuracy, material adaptability, stability, and efficiency. It is particularly widely used in fields such as precision manufacturing, microelectronics, and medicine, where strict processing quality requirements are imposed. 


Material Application:
The wavelength range of RF lasers is quite wide (commonly including far-infrared at 10.6 μm, green light at 532 nm, and infrared at 1064 nm, etc.), which can be matched with materials of different physical properties. Moreover, it has significant advantages in processing "heat-sensitive, brittle and hard, and high-melting-point" materials.

Non-metallic materials: For "hard and brittle / high-temperature resistant" materials such as ceramics (alumina, zirconia), glass (quartz glass, sapphire), and high-molecular materials (PI film, PTFE, Kapton), edge-free cutting can be achieved (such as the cutting of blue sapphire lenses for mobile phone cameras).
Special materials: Semiconductor silicon wafers (Si), silicon carbide (SiC), and other third-generation semiconductor materials, as well as medical-grade biological materials (such as the precise slotting of titanium alloy bone screws), can be processed to meet the requirements of high cleanliness and no residue of impurities. 


Stability:
The excitation system of RF laser does not have the problem of "electrode wear" (traditional DC-excited lasers require regular replacement of electrodes, otherwise the beam quality will deteriorate). The core components (such as RF power supply and resonator) have a lifespan of 10,000 - 20,000 hours (approximately 2 - 5 years of continuous operation), which is much longer than that of ordinary lasers (5,000 - 8,000 hours).


At the same time, the output power stability of RF laser is extremely high (power fluctuation ≤ ±1%), and it will not cause the cutting quality to deteriorate due to power drift during long-term processing (such as changes in cut width and rough edges). This reduces the scrap rate caused by unstable equipment and lowers the frequency and cost of later maintenance and debugging. 


Compared with traditional laser cutting machines, the core competitiveness of RF laser lies in "dual guarantees of precision and stability". Although the initial investment cost of the equipment is relatively high (usually 1.5 to 3 times that of ordinary lasers), in the processing of high-value-added products, its long-term efficiency improvement and reduction of waste rate can significantly offset the cost, making it a "core processing equipment" in the field of precision manufacturing.
